Fish Fry with Elder Kathy Knott

When: Thursday August 31st, 12-2 pm (Drop in) 

Where: ISS kitchen adjacent to L.R. Wilson room 1025 (LRW 1025 or the Ceremony Room in Indigenous Student Services) 

Who: First year Indigenous students 

What: Is what it says on the tin! Elder-in-residence Kathy Knott will be walking students through a fish fry, and of course lunch will be served. The fish used for this event was caught and supplied by both Welcome Week planners. The bass that we will be eating was caught in and around Manitoulin Island, specifically M’Chigeeng First Nation (the home community of one of our Welcome Week planners). Come for the cooking and/or just for the provided lunch!
